Here’s an exclusive stream of Lust‘s new single ‘Home’, taken from their upcoming split release with Siamese! The Toronto shoegazers delivered their much-loved debut last July, a hard-hitting blend of punk, post-hardcore and shoegaze. ‘Home’ is an ear bleeder that pulls at the heart strings with wall of sound guitars and raw intensity. Pick it up from April 21 via Adelaide’s Swirl Records.

The Black Ryder – ‘Let Me Be Your Light’

The wait is (almost) over for The Black Ryder‘s second studio album ‘The Door Behind The Door’ (out February 24 – presale). EW has premiered the Aussie shoegazers latest single ‘Let Me Be Your Light’. It’s hushed tone plays out like a gothic lullaby. If a James Bond theme was ever to go dream pop, this may be it! Beautiful song. It follows the diverse singles ‘Seventh Moon’, ‘Let Me Be Your Light’ and ‘Santaria’. The Black Ryder have also announced a support slot with The Jesus And Mary Chain on their upcoming US tour.

The Black Ryder – ‘Seventh Moon’

The Black Ryder return with ‘Seventh Moon’, the latest track lifted from their forthcoming second album ‘The Door Behind The Door’ (available February 24 via The Anti-Machine Machine). It’s a beautiful late night dream pop tune, a much more sedate feel than the lead single ‘Santaria‘.

“We wanted to create music that was layered, emotive & majestic,” says vocalist/songwriter Aimee Nash in the presser. “You open one door, and you find there’s another, you keep moving through each door to the next not quite sure where you’re going or what to expect, but there’s something enticing & reassuring you that you’re moving in the right direction.”

The Black Ryder – ‘Santaria’

The wait is finally over for Black Ryder fans, the duo’s new single ‘Santaria’ premiered over at Stereogum today. The Australian shoegazers (now LA-based) will release their second album ‘The Door Behind The Door’ via their own label The Anti-Machine Machine early next year. The Black Ryder is Scott Von Ryper and Aimee Nash, together they released the debut LP ‘Buy The Ticket, Take The Ride’ in 2009 which didn’t get fantastic reviews at the time but still grew to cult classic status (amongst fans of the genre). Fingers crossed the new album will be equally brilliant!
