High Pines – ‘I Haven’t Seen It All’

Brooklyn-based psychedelic pop act High Pines have released their new EP ‘We Are Humans’ featuring ‘I Haven’t Seen It All’ (free download). Originally the solo project of Caribbean-born Leo Lugo, High Pines are now a fully fledged four piece. There’s plenty of spaced out melodies on ‘We Are Humans’, its a sparse and floaty mix, great for late night listening.

Electric Eye – '6AM'

Fresh from Bergen, Norway comes Electric Eye‘s new video for ‘6AM’. The rampant psych-rockers have made the tongue in cheek comment that the video was shot on the moon in 1972. Footage yes but… sadly, Electric Eye couldn’t make it that day.

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

So who are Electric Eye!? They’re a conglomerate of space rocking talent featuring The Megaphonic Thrift / Low Frequency In Stereo guitarist Njal Clementsen, Oystein Braut, guitarist of The Alexandria Quartet, Anders Bjelland of Hypertext and drumming wiz Oyvind Hegg-Lunde. Now that you’re introduced, get stuck into their tunes! ‘6AM’ is straight ahead dirty blues in a mud puddle, without any vocals to get in the way.
