Flyying Colours – ‘Mindfullness’

In case you missed it, Flyying Colours have officially given us their debut full length ‘Mindfullness’ (out now via Club AC30). The Melbourne shoegazers cut their teeth with two solid EPs and a string of local shows (with a UK/European tour about to kick off). The album opener ‘It’s Tomorrow Now’ is a must listen, supported by the second single ‘Long Holiday’ and the title track. Flyying Colours strike a balance between the heights of their debut EP and the rockers of the ‘Roygbiv’ EP. It’s a relentless record that will be a crowd pleaser. With a fresh line-up in place (two new members), and plenty of new material to showcase on the road, the UK tour should be awesome. It’s hard to believe that Flyying Colours’ ‘Wavygravy’ debut was three years ago! *mind blown*

Flyying Colours – ‘Long Holiday’

flyying colours-mindfullness

Fresh rocker ‘Long Holiday’ from Flyying Colours‘ debut album ‘Mindfullness’ (out September 23). It’s the second official single, however you may have heard the title track too (it’s been circulating through radio/media land for the past week or so). It follows the charging lead tune ‘It’s Tomorrow Now’ (check out the video below). With a revamped line-up, the foursome haven’t lost a step since delivering last year’s ‘ROYGBIV’ EP. If that flipped your eggs, you’re going to love the new LP! It’s no secret we’ve long been fans of the Brunswick natives, and look forward to getting our hands on some fresh FC vinyl next month (pre-order here). Side note, for the gear heads; Brodie talked fuzz n’ guitars with Happy recently (read that here).

Bloodhounds On My Trail – ‘Over The Wall’

Moon Sounds Records present ‘Over The Wall’, the latest offering from Melbourne’s Bloodhounds On My Trail (as premiered by Tone Deaf). The dark and swoony single is a head nod to late 80s/early 90s acts a la The Jesus & Mary Chain, The Church, Velvet Underground and Chapterhouse (among others). It’s a widescreen slow burner that gathers steam (and noise), taking off after the three minute mark. ‘Over The Wall’ follows their praised 2015 EP ‘Escape II’.
