British rock legends Pale Saints have been given an impressive tribute thanks to The Blog That Celebrates Itself. A 17-track compilation of Pale Saints covers has been released called ‘Language Of Flowers‘. It features a collection of contemporary dream pop and shoegaze acts including The Foreign Resort, Angel Falls, VHS Dream, Eyes Behind The Veil and DIV I DED. London’s The Enters have covered the title track, which is a precursor to their new EP (expected in April). Side note, if you’ve never heard Pale Saints 1990 record ‘The Comforts Of Madness‘ – you’re missing out!

Forced Random – ‘Go Get It’

It’s time to get those lighters in the air for Forced Random‘s epic rock anthem ‘Go Get It’. The British collective is led by multi-instrumentalist Oliver Girdler, who has delivered several EPs under the Forced Random moniker. This is the first public track from the forthcoming EP ‘Overthink Overact Overshare’… which also happens to be an apt description of my Friday nights! For fans of Spritualized, MBV, Mercury Rev, Sparklehorse.

Cheatahs – ‘Seven Sisters’

cheatahs-mythologies

Cheatahs haven’t stopped since releasing their fantastic debut album last year. The London rock act have already given fans two EPs in 2015 (‘Sunne’ and ‘Murasaki’), and on October 30 we’ll have their second album ‘Mythologies’ (out via Wichita Recordings). The lead single ‘Seven Sisters’ is a reverb rocker with layered vocals and plenty of unpredictable twists and turns. It’s got a psych tinge to it, and is perhaps their strongest single this year. Pre-sales are already available here. P.S. not sure about the promo photo… looks like the lads got lost in the jungle and let off a flare!?
