Kramies Feat. Jason Lytle – ‘Clocks Were All Broken’

Grandaddy’s Jason Lytle recently collaborated with Dutch-American songwriter Kramies on his EP ‘The Wooden Heart’ (available now via Perth’s Hidden Shoal Recordings). With the help of Robert Pollard and Todd Tobias, Kramies delivered the dreamy single ‘Clocks Were All Broken’. This week label Manager Cam Merton unveiled the video (which he created himself) around the idea of time standing still and “a never-ending summer’s day at the beach”. The results are rather surreal, see for yourself…

Apricot Rail – 'Basket Press'

Instrumental post rockers Apricot Rail release their second album ‘Quarrels’ featuring ‘Basket Press‘ (free download) on February 25 via Hidden Shoal Recordings. The Perth-based six piece shift between pretty melodies and different textures… when was the last time you heard woodwinds on a post rock tune!? The “soft, soft, oh my gawd crescendo” moments are avoided in place of a more reflective listening experience. Thumbs up.
