The History Of Colour TV – ‘Yr Arms Can Stretch’

The History Of Colour TV deliver their latest full length ‘When Shapes Of Spilt Blood Spelt Love’ this week through Saint Marie Records. The twelve song collection features the lead single ‘Split Blood‘ and the stand out album cut ‘Yr Arms Can Stretch’. Long term fans may be surprised by this one, it’s perhaps the most stripped back the Berlin band have sounded. But founder Jaike Stambach should be commended because this is their most refined offering yet. The History Of Colour TV have pushed past the industrial noise rock wall to find a much more melodic sound. Grab a copy on physical or digital.

Jaguwar – ‘I’ EP

jaguwar-i-artwork

German shoegaze outfit Jaguwar have teamed up with Pinmusik (Pretty In Noise Netlabel) to officially release their debut EP ‘I’ today (download). The Dresden-based trio formed in 2012 and first got our attention with an early demo of ‘Muffhead’. Since then they’ve released a finished video (below), self-released the EP and replaced their drummer. It’s hard to keep up! Plus they’ve played shows with the likes of Tamaryn, Yuck, Japandroids and The Megaphonic Thrift. Needless to say, ‘I’ is a sonic feast, full of break neck guitars, relentless drumming and soaring choruses. Jaguwar have come out firing and this is just the beginning!

Seasurfer – ‘Stay (Remixes)’ [Premiere]

Seasurfer are just about ready to unleash their wall of sound on the masses! Their full length ‘Dive In’ will be out in a few week’s via Saint Marie Records (pre-order). Karl Skivington (of Spotlight Kid) lent a hand with production and it sounds big! The self confessed dreampunks are fronted by Berlin’s Dorian E. and Dirk the noise maker (founder of Dark Orange). Today we have a sneak peek at the new remix single ‘Stay‘, a reverb monster with shades of coldwave and post punk.

Brace/Choir – ‘Satisfier’ [VIDEO]

BRACE/CHOIR - 'TURNING ON YOUR DOUBLE'

Berlin’s Brace/Choir call themselves ‘trancerock’. I’ve got no idea what that is but I like it! Check out their new video for ‘Satisfier’ and see if you agree. On February 21, the quartet’s new album ‘Turning On Your Double’ is out through Tapete Records.

Hazy Mountains – ‘Neon Velvet’

HAZY MOUNTAINS - 'NEON VELVET'

In the lead up to a new full length, ambient electronic producer Julian Prott has delivered a new Hazy Mountains single called ‘Neon Velvet‘ (free download). The euphoric track shifts from a dream pop feel to a saturated synth anthem – there’s a lot going on here! Side note, I’m thinking purple is the early colour of choice for artwork this year.
