Leave The Planet – ‘How Does It Feel’

leave the planet-nowhere-b-sides

Back in March we helped launch Leave The Planet‘s ‘Nowhere’ EP, and last month the British dream pop duo unveiled the b-sides (available here). It’s another solid collection; you’d be forgiven for wondering why they weren’t combined to make an album, they’re that good. It also includes a re-working of their 2014 single ‘Unreleased Life’. It’s awesome to have more from Leave The Planet so soon after ‘Nowhere’, and a timely reminder to check out the EP if you missed it.

Forced Random – ‘Go Get It’

forced random-go get it

It’s time to get those lighters in the air for Forced Random‘s epic rock anthem ‘Go Get It’. The British collective is led by multi-instrumentalist Oliver Girdler, who has delivered several EPs under the Forced Random moniker. This is the first public track from the forthcoming EP ‘Overthink Overact Overshare’… which also happens to be an apt description of my Friday nights! For fans of Spritualized, MBV, Mercury Rev, Sparklehorse.

The Virgance Feat. Shauna McLarnon – ‘Down The River’

the-virgance-paradigm-3

The Virgance delivers his third album ‘Paradigm 3‘ this month, a relentless shoegaze monolith! The British solo artist (Nathan Smith) is joined by Shauna McLarnon (of Ummagma) who lends her dreamy vocals to ‘Down The River’. Nathan’s work has never been made for the masses, and ‘Paradigm 3’ is no different, it’s an experimental odyssey that shows continuing growth. There’s a lot to get swept up in, an album that commands zoning out!
