Californian shoegazers Sway officially released their debut album ‘This Was Tomorrow’ earlier in the year with the stunning opening track ‘Palos Verdes’. Sadly enough, Sway founder Andrew Saks hit the studio with three bandmates but now he’s flying solo.

‘This Was Tomorrow’ was a long time coming, Sway have been at it since 1999. The polish and precision of experience shows on ‘Palo Verdes’. Andrew’s voice cuts through the gloom perfectly as the music swirls and bends, sounding somewhere between the Cocteau Twins and The Radio Dept.

Sway comes courtesy of Saint Marie Records, who recently signed Russian outfit The Patience. Saint Marie will re-release their ‘Sun Is Always’ EPs with a debut LP set for late 2012.
