Snøskred – 'Come Closer' Monday 22 October, 2012

Snøskred

Super excited for Snøskred‘s debut album ‘Whiteout‘, released this week (October 26) via Sad Songs For Happy People/Riot Factory (home of Dråpe and Scarlet Chives). Residents of the UK and EU can pickup the vinyl here (USA iTunes). The second single ‘Come Closer’ shows off their ability to craft noisy anthems with a pop appeal. The Norwegian five piece make good use of male and female vocals, backed with ear-bleeding guitar and synth lines. The brick wall of noise is held together by strong production values. Snøskred (meaning avalanche in Norwegian) have the potential to capture a broader audience if given the platform and desire, this is a very well conceived debut that could get its hooks into the most casual of indie rock fans.
