Dream pop veterans Should returned from a thirteen year hiatus in 2011 with ‘Like A Fire Without A Sound‘ along with the re-issue of their classic ‘A Folding Sieve’ via Captured Tracks Shoegaze Archives. This month the Baltimore-based duo (Marc Ostermeier and Tanya Maus) delivered their fourth album ‘The Great Pretend’ through Words On Music. Lead tracks ‘Down A Notch’ and ‘Mistakes Are Mine’ would appeal to fans of sugary twee pop while album cut ‘Dalliance’ is an understated gem – stream the rest here.
