Philadelphian noise rockers Highspire released their sophomore album ‘Aquatic’ via Reverse Reverb last year. It was a seven year wait between records, their debut ‘Your Everything’ was released back in 2003, four years after the band formed. Comparisons to early 90s bands like Ride are unmistakable. Highspire also covered Slowdive’s ‘Dagger’, so they’re not shy about revealing their influences. Rightly so, there’s a number of standouts on ‘Aquatic’, ‘Dusted’ is just one of them.

During Highspire‘s September/October tour with The Morning After Girls, the band was selling previously unreleased copies of their debut EP ‘Sleight Of Hand For The Down And Out‘. These are now available for purchase online, from Reverse Reverb here. The twelve track disc features the aforementioned Slowdive cover along with Highspire‘s take on Ride’s ‘Close My Eyes’ plus demos and rarities.
