It’s rare that bands can put an actual date on their inception. Gum have, it’s September 15 2011! The London-based four piece have been posting an assortment of shoegaze and noise rock tunes via Soundcloud ever since. Their debut EP ‘Fast’ is available at Bandcamp featuring ‘Anna Sang & Alison’. The recording is understandably raw, like an early demo should be. At times the no nonsense approach does get a little distracting, mostly due to some pitchy vocal takes. However for a band that’s yet to reach their first birthday, the early signs are promising.
