The Chambermaids have just released their new single ‘Whirlpool’, the follow up to ‘China Blue’ released earlier in the year. The Minneapolis quartet echo dream pop and shoegaze greats (here’s looking at you Slowdive).  But ‘Whirlpool’ sounds like Pink Floyd let loose with Jazzmasters, a tape echo and better backing vocals! The evenly metered vocals of Neil Weir are part conversational and part sung, accompanied by Martha’s subtle harmonies. Weighing in at under three minutes, ‘Whirlpool’ finshes strong with a barrage of brilliant guitar tones.
