Right from the opening ten seconds I had high hopes. The de-tuned, warbling guitar lines promise something big and thankfully its not a let down. The Woken Trees are a six piece from Copenhagen with plenty of not-so-friendly sounding post punk at their disposal. The lyrics in this one aren’t pretty, neither is the video – you’ve been warned! ‘Yells’ is their debut single from their forthcoming LP, due January 28 via Danish indie label Pad & Pen Records.
