Polyvinyl Records (home to Asobi Seksu, Deerhoof, Xiu Xiu and Japandroids) will release Stagnant Pools debut album ‘Temporary Room’ on August 7 (pre-order here). The lead single ‘Dead Sailor’ (free download) is a short blast of melodic noise rock which reminds me a little of The Strokes early work, only with more distortion! Stagnant Pools are brothers Bryan and Douglass Enas of Indiana, who managed to track the entire record in a single day.
