Scarlet Chives

Six childhood friends from Bornholm, Denmark decided to form a band based on their shared love for the Blade Runner soundtrack. Well… they love the Cocteau Twins and My Bloody Valentine too but that pretty much goes without saying around here. They call themselves Scarlet Chives… fans of Kate Bush will lap up the vocals. For others, it may be a little harder to digest. Anyway… they produce a big sound so here we go!

Scarlet Chives self-titled debut LP was released earlier this year through the Norwegian indie label Riot Factory and is available for download via UK’s Sureleaf. English production wiz Paul Schroeder (Stone Roses, Campag Velocet, Verve, The Upper Room) came on board to engineer and mix the record with the Scarlet Chives’ Brian Batz. The lead singles ‘The Horror’ and ‘Do Not Put Your Hands There’ have received a lot of love from European independent radio. The Danes are onto something, don’t miss this one.
