The Quiet Americans have released their ‘Medicine’ EP featuring the blisteringly loud, lo-fi rocker ‘Weird Mountain’. Not unlike the late Jay Reatard in sound and approach, The Quiet Americans keep it analogue and do-it-yourself which adds to the charm. The Fresno quartet recorded the EP on a Tascam 388 reel-to-reel recorder that singer Luke Giffen bought for $100. It doesn’t get much more rock n’ roll than that! The resulting fuzzy noise rock has led The Quiet Americans to open for A Place To Bury Strangers.
