Touted by many as London’s answer to Crystal Stilts, the four piece doesn’t run out of melodies on their debut. If you like sharp retro pop with a garage feel then you’ll be quickly converted to Veronica Falls. It sounds very much like it was tracked live despite being recorded by Ash Workman and Guy Fixsen (The Breeders, My Bloody Valentine).

The rough and simple sound contrasted with the sugary sweet male and female vocals is at the heart of what makes Veronica Falls interesting. Lyrically it isn’t sweet at all but the melodies are, this bittersweet combination works perfectly throughout.
