There are moments during Lightfoils ‘Sympathy Lies’ that are openly dissonant but that makes it all the more interesting. The light and floaty verse breaks around the 46 second mark, as the bass guitar bounces away from the vocal melody. The seasick quality of ‘Sympathy Lies’ doesn’t take away from the strength of the song writing, or their brilliant sound.
