pity-sex-white-hot-moon

Hyla – ‘Chaos For You’

hyla-chaos-for-you

‘Chaos For You’ is a solid new slow burner from Hyla. The foursome has announced a limited 7-inch run (available here) with the b-side ‘Thousands’. It follows the Perth natives ‘Fever Calls Late’ EP from last June. Hyla did a fantastic job backing Fait for her live shows and conjure more moody brilliance on this tune.

Nothing – ‘ACD (Abscessive Compulsive Disorder)’

nothing-tired-of-tomorrow

‘ACD (Abscessive Compulsive Disorder’ is the latest from Nothing’s forthcoming full length ‘Tired Of Tomorrow’ (out May 13 via Relapse). It’s another melodic rocker with monstrous guitars and catchy vocals. There’s a bunch of harmonies in there – almost of a pop/punk variety. The Philly band consistently deliver crushing rockers that are increasingly cinematic, and this is yet another crowd pleaser! Nothing have also posted the first video from their documentary series, check that out below.

Jack Hardy – ‘We Should Have Never Come Back Here’ [Premiere]

jack-hardy-artwork

‘We Should Have Never Come Back Here’ is the lead single from Jack Hardy’s forthcoming debut album, a lo-fi garage rocker with the raw edges left intact. It comes courtesy of Custom Made Music, the label that’s been home to Ceremony, Ringo Deathstarr, and most recently Rev Rev Rev. Jack hails from New Orleans and conjures a no-nonsense sound that should sit well with fans of noisy rock n’ roll (a la Guided by Voices, Jay Reatard or The Pixies). Keep an ear out for his full length ‘For The Sake Of Finding Your Clothes’ (available through CMM from April 15).
