Glaciers – ‘Living Right’

glaciers-living-right

Glaciers deliver a charming batch of jangly slacker pop on ‘Living Right’ (out this month through Strong Dog / Easy Summer). They’ve got an easy going sound that’s distinctly Australian, or should I say Aust-ray-yan! I can get away with that because I’m from Sydney *wink*. Anyway, it’s either going to sit with you or not. What they do, they do really well and I’m a convert. For fans of twee pop a la The Pastels, Twerps or The Go-Betweens. Now… where’s my beer gotten to?

Airiel – ‘Cloudburst’

Airiel return in shimmering fashion with the dreamy jangle popper ‘Cloudburst’! The all-new single is backed by a Navigateur remix (as premiered by KCRW last week). The Chicago-based shoegazers have also announced that their long, long, long awaited new full length (called ‘Molten Young Lovers’) is on the way! It follows 2012’s ‘Kid Games’ EP and their 2007 LP ‘The Battle of Sealand’. There’s no release date on the album as yet but you can download the single now from Shelflife Records. Enjoy!

Hazing – ‘Joy Void’

joy-void-hazing

Introducing Hazing, a vocalist and producer from Holland (via Dublin). The 25-year-old has shared two songs ‘Nervous Signals’ and ‘What Youth’ from his forthcoming EP ‘Joy Void’ (out March 4 via Happy Valley Records). Hazing produces a lo-fi bedroom pop with plenty of reverb, and a little 80s synth pop thrown in. Lovely work!
