Tangled Thoughts Of Leaving – ‘Dead Rivers Run Quiet’
If progressive instrumental music tickles your fancy,’Deaden The Fields‘ shines some fresh light on post rock. Mainly due to the addition (and occasional dominance) of piano and synths in the mix. ‘Deep Rivers Run Quiet’ comes from the Western Australian post rock collective Tangled Thoughts Of Leaving. It’s not all quiet, crescendo, breakdown, end. Tangled Thoughts Of Leaving are just as prone to get glitchy and atmospheric, there’s even a slight jazz influence peering through. Plus, they sound even better on stage as I witnessed last friday night. Dig in!
