Monsters From Mars – ‘Punchbowl On A Plane’

‘Punchbowl On A Plane’ is 96 seconds of pure psyched out hilarity, its as if the Dead Kennedys had a fist fight with Dick Dale whilst heavily medicated! Download the ‘Creepy Creeps’ split single free here. Monsters From Mars hail from San Diego and have been at it since 2001. ‘Punchbowl On A Plane’ was earmarked for a split 7inch back in 2006 before it all fell through, shame. Monsters From Mars released ‘Surfing Through A Creepy Castle‘ via Tic Tac Totally Records back in 2009 featuring a cover of Britney Spears ‘Toxic’. I kid you not.

We The Pigs – ‘Fly’

We The Pigs have recently posted a rework of their 2008 track ‘Fly’ (as heard via The Devil Has The Best Tuna). Originally a duo, the Swedish shoegaze pop act bolstered their line up last year to hit the live stage (playing at the Manka Boutique Pop Festival). As for an official release, or what to expect next, my guess is as good as yours!

Ewok Fur – 'Moving To Antarctica Sounds Quite Ok'

You had me at Ewok! Seriously, if you’re going to call your band something ridiculous, Ewok Fur is a brilliant effort! I must admit, I was really hoping the music to accompany the name would be great. Thankfully, there’s a lot of charm behind the noisy, experimental, largely instrumental work of Germany’s Ewok Fur. ‘Moving To Antarctica Sounds Quite Ok’ has a playful feel, however the rest of Ewok Fur’s new EP ‘Television Summer’ covers various sonic territory. Download it free, right here!
